  2. Azadirachta indica (Neem beeja/leaves, Indian lilac): The bitter leaf of neem isan effective remedy for treating diabetes. Anti-diabetic properties of Neem leaves aid insulin to increase the uptake of glucose into fat and muscle cells and, hence, helps in maintaining glucose levels in the body. Safety: 6-12 masha (6-12 gm)
  3. Berberis aristata, (Daruharidra, Indian berberi): It is very effective at lowering blood sugar and HbA1c, which are elevated in people with diabetes. It reduces the increase in glucose levels in the blood. It improves insulin sensitivity and promotes the uptake of glucose by the cells and tissues. Safety: 3-5 masha (3-5 gm)
  4. Boerrrhavia Diffusa, (Punarnava, Hogweed): Punarnava tends to increase the plasma insulin levels that further helps in managing diabetes well.
  5. Cinnamomum tamala (Tejpatra, Indian Cassia): It significantly lowered the blood glucose level. Safety: 1-4 masha (1-4 gm) per day.

Preparing Govind Madhav Hot Tea (Recipe for 1 cup)

Hot Tea with Milk: Boil 1 cup of milk or 1⁄2 cup milk and 1⁄2 cup water. Add 1 spoon of Tea (spoon provided in the pack). A pinch of grated Ginger can be added. Boil for 2 minutes. Strain & serve Hot.
Hot Tea without Milk: Boil 1 cup of water. Add 1 spoon of Tea (spoon provided in the pack). A pinch of grated Ginger can be added. Boil for 2 minutes. Add a few drops of Lemon juice. Strain & serve Hot.

Preparing Govind Madhav Cold Tea (Recipe for 1 cup)
Cold Tea with Milk (Tea Milk Shake): Boil 1 cup of milk Add 1 spoon of Tea (spoon provided in the pack). A pinch of grated Ginger can be added. Boil for 2 minutes. Strain & cool. Shake in a blender mixer with ice added. Serve as ice cold shake.
Cold Tea without Milk (Iced Cold Tea): Boil 1 cup of water. Add 1 spoon of Tea (spoon provided in the pack). A pinch of grated Ginger can be added. Boil for 2 minutes. Strain & cool. Add to an ice filled glass to serve ice cold.

  • It can also be refrigerated for days.
  • Add 1 or 2 sugar free pills to mask bitter taste in Diabetic and Weight Loss Tea recipe.
  • You can avoid adding grated ginger, in ginger tea recipe.
  • This tea (with or without milk) can be boiled again. It will not lose effect & taste; rather herbs leave more juice with time so it becomes more effective.
